DJ Robert Gitelman (June 1st 1972) began his career at the age of 14. After 3 years he began his residency in one of the biggest clubs in Israel, the “Computer”. Ever since Robert played in every club in Israel. In Radio 99 fm, the biggest radio station in Israel for dance music, Robert got a weekly club show and hosted the biggest names in the world like: DJ Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, Benjamin Bates, M.I.K.E (Push), armin van buuern, DJ Scot Project, DJ Wag, Erik Morello, Marco v, Phats and Small, Christian Froot, DJ Taucher, Misja Helsloot, DJ Montana, Talla and many many more.

Mark Sherry’s *Outburst Cut* this week was from a relative newcomer to the scene Stephen Kirkwood from Scotland. Stepen promotes his own night called ‘Culture’ in Dumbarton and is also a great DJ that’s now regularly working for Colours supporting DJ’s such as Tiesto and Paul van Dyk. He has been totally hammering the Sherry HQ inbox with demos over the last few months now and it gives me great pleasure to unveil his latest badboy of a track on the show. It’s called ‘Aurora ‘ and is a huge slice of summery tech-trance with a massive silky breakdown to die for. This is goin’ to be the catalyst release for Stephen that gets everybody talking and that helps him well on his way to bigger things for 2010 in the EDM…good luck Stephen !!

Since being introduced to electronic music back in the early 90′s, Audio Injection has been hooked. At the early age of 15 he started Djing and playing out at local underground events and raves around the Southern California area. You would find him spinning various styles from house, acid, & techno to hardcore techno.

After years of Djing he then decided to learn to produce his own music, which landed him releases on techno labels such as Monoid, Stimulus, & local label Droid Recordings. Since being associated with local event production group Droid Behavior in 2003, you can find him as a resident at the infamous Interface warehouse events as well as a regular producer for Droid Recordings along with Drumcell (Co-Founder of Droid Behavior).

With releases & remixes on labels such as Droid, 4 Track, Circle Music, Tora Tora Tora, Smallroom Music, Lazerslut, Enemy Records, Prosthetic Pressings, Timefog, Phobiq, Impact Mechanics, Railyard, CLR and many more to come, Audio Injection continues to shape his own sound as well as collaborate with Drumcell to release more mind bending techno, putting Los Angeles & Droid Recordings on the techno map.

When the clock strikes eight, André van Zuijlen, Sietse van Daalen and Vincent Sluijs will take over the Thunderdome Radio studio! For many years now, Thunderdome Radio has been the best known Hardcore radio show with the largest audience on the worldwide web.

Once a year, the best hardcore listened to radio shows in the world combined their forces for the greatest hardcore festival on the globe. The hosts of MOH Radio Live and Thunderdome Radio came together for two days to treat their listeners with two deafening shows, where everything revolved around Dominator – The Hardcore Festival.

HIGHWAY TO HELL CONTEST
Through Twitter and Facebook pages of both radio programs have been given away a few hints several days on various locations across the country. At two places in the Netherlands were in fact two women with their cars stationed.

Given the theme of this year may come as no surprise that on roads were leading to the festival site Dominator – The Hardcore Festival. On both days, the ladies found by happy helpful gabbers who have gone off with big prizes.
This Thunderdome Radio broadcast was another one again for in the books. In addition, the Thunderdome Radio crew let somebody drive through the MacDrive in his swimsuit and a pink bike. You can view the clip here:

Phonokollektiv Episode 2

Phonokollektiv was established in early 2009. The two guys met at a gig in Munich. They started working together as a back 2 back dj-team that wants to share their enthusiasm and love for electronic music with electro lovers all over the world.

As a single artist Agony (Silvan Krauss) already showed his skills on many festivals like Love Parade in Berlin, the Liberty One in Ulm and the Rave festival in Munich. During the last 15 years he took control of almost every club in Munich and Austria, infecting the audience with his trancy, electronic based sounds.

The other part is the talented perfectionist Colombian Soul (Andi Jelitsch), who performs music since the age of 6.

His feeling for the rhythm and melodys combined with a huge selection of electronic bombs, made him very fast to one of the top rated residents of 54house.fm, Germanys biggest internet-radio station for house music.

In 2009 they played more than 75 live gigs, a lot of radioshows on MDR Radio Sputnik, Delicious Housetunes, 54house.fm and the „Wicked One Gute Laune” festival.

2010 they are focusing on creating their own sounds with big support of Stephan Raith, a highly respected producer from Germany. He is the youngest part of Phonokollektiv.

The first productions already smashed the speakers of various clubs in Germany. The feedback was amazing, the crowd loved it.

I have been always into doing a 90% vinyl show, or haha to be realistic at least an 80% one, actually like i play in clubs and festivals, even in 2010 when so many formats and countless mixing programs are in the market, you even don’t have to take a bag neither a laptop with you, just a tiny Usb, kinda storing your collection your pocket…

Preserve the Vinyl:
This vintage analog format still has a special taste, a warmer sound, a fat bass, an unexplainable magic, i really cannot justify my sick affection for this format, my addictive obsession, altho i am an artist who is embracing the digital world and its progressive tools, fiddling around with the new technology; but being a collector for more than 25 years (and not only dance music), is still a chic and cool hobby. Watching it spinning and spinning just gives me goosebumps sometimes, even the hisses, the crackles and pops, such an ambience of its own. Even my four years old son was so impressed and amazed staring at the needle sailing Through a Christian Smith limited edition coloured one, was it the needle, was it that turquoise colour, or alltogether with the sound comin’ out your greatful speakers? could be because it is something you own, a piece of art, not a data stored somewhere on your hard disc?

Bio:

Fady Ferraye has not had a normal upbringing for an artist. Born in Beirut, of Italian origin, he began collecting vinyl at the age of 10, with the Lebanese civil war as a backdrop, mastering his skills back in the 80s in one of the city’s bomb shelters. Back then, Beirut was similar to Berlin pre-1990; dark, divided, and insecure. It was no easy start for a musicianís career that would one day take him across the world for high-profile gigs, in The Netherlands, Lebanon, India, Belgium, Germany, Romania, Qatar, Armenia, Syria, Jordan, Bahrain, Dubai, Romania, Turkey…. Fady has truly delivered the message that the Middle East is not only a place of war, but a place of musical expression and a hotbed of creativity. After years of spinning in the vibrant but at times troubled Middle East (including six long years playing a weekly residency at Beirutís B018 and three in The Basement), Fady felt the time was right to take the plunge to move to a European dance music epicentre, Amsterdam, away from the domestic troubles in his native country.

The switch to Amsterdam saw his international DJ career really start. He quickly became resident at Club NL (four years and still going strong), launched his own Saturday night Yield event alongside DJ Maron as well as Hurly Burly on a Thursday with Dutch celeb Johnny De Mol.

Fady’s consistency behind the decks has led to invites to play internationally in as far-flung places such as Dubai or India, and amazingly he still manages to hold down a regular slot at the Basement in Beirut, flying to the Middle East on a regular basis. Glamorous nights have included performing at afterhours party for P Diddy, headlining Fashion TV’s Black Diamond Boat, and Gumball 3000 Amsterdam Party , while DJ bookings over the years have seen him perform alongside Tiesto, Paul Oakenfold, Deep Dish, Sander Kleinenberg, Above & Beyond, Judge Jules, Dave Seaman, Marco V and many more.

Productions are crucial for the progress of any DJís career and this hard-working studio master has signed records to labels all around the world including Audio Therapy, Baroque (UK), Presslab (Italy), Faith (Belgium), Bad Pony, Often Gruven (Canada), Frisky, Proton Particles (US), Pesto, Jetlag (Ger), Outside The Box, The Sessions (NL), Chill Om (India) and many more. Support has come from the cream of the worldís DJ elite including Hernan Cattaneo, Sharam (Deep Dish), Sasha, John Digweed, Nick Warren, Dave Seaman, James Zabiela, Steve Lawler, Laurent Garnier and many more.

Fady also runs his own Goosebumps and Red Circle labels to release his own music and to push any unsigned dancefloor gems he finds on his travels. The Goosebumps label is managed by UK-based Critical Rhythm.

With internet radio and podcasting expanding, Fady also crucially finds time to host two popular radio shows, Frisky Radio (No. 1 internet radio), NRJ (No.1 French FM radio, also airing in the Middle East), and Holland’s number one radio Dance Tunes Radio.

If you have ever had the pleasure of witnessing Fady in action, his diverse background and unique upbringing can be heard in any of the clubs or festivals where he plays ñ itís a real mix of all thatís good about electronic music. In fact, it could be said that Fady is a real dancefloor chef; he has a sound recipe of his own, with quality house and techno as ingredients. His long sets mean he can take great pride in serving appetizers, the main dish and the dessert. This is his musical philosophy, how he believes a great party should be approached, and itís all encapsulated for you on his brand new double CD compilation entitled “The Double Effect”.

Marc Romboy’s Systematic Sessions is back with another killer show featuring Detroit native DJ/producer Blake Baxter. Blake has a reputation for producing steamy, deep, whispering tracks and you can expect the same from his EXCLUSIVE Systematic Session 70 guest mix.

Blake signed with the Chicago record label DJ International way back in 1985 and released 2 tracks before moving to Incognito Records Detroit in 1988, releasing a string of dancefloor tracks still in the early years of the electronic music scene.

Blake produced two albums for Munich-based label Disko B, both albums were house fused with deep bass and techno elements. He then teamed up with Amsterdam mix master bad boy Orlando Voorn to form a production group called the Ghetto Brothers, producing sought after tracks at the time. Together they produced a mixture of up tempo house with techno-driven elements. The concept was to form a bridge between house and techno via a tempo and a production style. This innovation is a defining form of what is called today’s house tech.

In the UK, you can hear Blake’s vocals being sampled by the Chemical Brothers, Ben Sims and other well-known artists.

2004 was the year Blake also re-launched his Mix Record’s label along with a new sub label called The Republic Sound of Detroit under the Mix Inc. umbrella. In recent years Blake has gone on to have releases on major labels such as Tresor, Incognito, Logic, Sonic Groove and others.

QUIVVER – BIOGRAPHY:

John Graham (Quivver) creates music that is cutting edge and heartfelt that reflects upon real life experiences and is influenced by rock legends and innovative artists. He is best known as founding member and producer of Quivver, but it is not surprising that any music John produces becomes in high demand by so many DJs.

The fact he has penned a host of other monikers to record under, including Space Manoeuvres, Stoneproof, Skanna and Tilt, each representing a different shade of his sound, should give you an idea of his scope and versatility.

He has also co-written, produced and performed with Hybrid and Planet Funk touring the globe’s top music festivals including Glastonbury, Live8, Coachella and Ultra. His music has been licensed and charted innumerable times including most recently to Frank Miller’s “The Spirit.” How many other producers could, for instance, lay claim to having their music played by house giants like Tiesto, Sasha, Tong, Teneglia, Oakenfold and Digweed, while also having his early Skanna efforts lapped up by drum & bass royalty Fabio, LTJ Bukhem, Grooverider and Doc Scott. After inking an early deal with A&M/UK, he moved to the Perfecto stable where he was championed by Paul Oakenfold, then onto Virgin’s V.C imprint. In addition, he has been and is working on film composing in “The Taking of Pelham 123,” “Twelve,” and “Shrek Forever After 2010.”

As a DJ, John has traveled the world and performed every conceivable hot spot from Glastonbury,UK to Pacha, Buenos Aires to Asia to his enviable residency at the notable Twilo, NYC to Avalon, L.A. He takes you on a life-transforming journey that finds you dancing and wanting more… As a vocalist and songwriter, John has finally brought everything together in what he regards as his first ‘proper’ album comprising of a modern and unique collection of bound-to-be massive hits that he will be taking to the live arena in 2010.

Daniel Portman:

Rene Pais, more known as Lens Flare and DNS Project, was born on the 25th of March, 1988 in a small Estonian town called Pärnu. His interest in music started at the age of 7, when he started to take piano classes. After getting his first music production gear in summer of 2004, he started to produce his own first tracks. It took a while to acquire all the basic producing skills. In spring of 2007, Baroque Records released his very first tracks “Frozen Desert”, “Hellrazor” and “Dehydration”.

CLR Radio Episode 073 – Norman Nodge

Born in East German Leipzig, raised in Brandenburg, Norman got bitten by the techno bug after the wall came down. From 1994 on he promoted several events, which also helped to launch his career as a dj. At these parties, he crossed paths with Marcel Fengler and Marcel Dettmann for the first time and literally became their mentor for all things techno.

At the end of the 90s, Nodge backed out of the local nightlife in order to focus on becoming a lawyer and starting a family.

Five years ago, though, Marcel Dettmann pitched him to Berghain’s management and he became a resident instantaneously. Since then, he plays there once a month specialising in the almost forgotten art of warming up at the beginning of a night. In 2005 he also started to produce his own tracks. His maturity proved to be very beneficial in terms of his artistic vision, as he made up his mind about what he likes and what not a long time ago already. Unsurprisingly, his outings on Dettmann’s MDR label, as well as his track „Native Rhythm Electric“ for OstGut Ton left a deep impression with headstrong techno lovers. With his dusty funk, static hiss and the rich thump of his kick drums, he managed to made himself recognised as one of techno’s more unique auteurs.

Norman Nodge cites Detroit techno (Jeff Mills, Rob Hood, 430 West), Chicago House (Relief, Dance Mania) and Techno (Luke Slater, Peacefrog, Mark Broom) as his most essential influences. Hence, it is not surprising that he fuses the old with the new, the soft with the tough when he plays out. ‘It is my goal as a dj to make people dance withought walking on trodden paths of recent trends. I want to sensitize dancers for unusual sounds, old and new.’

Barry Fore has by far not the average profile of a DJ …. His love for the nightlife started in the early 90’s when the house music entered slowly numerous Belgian clubs . Besides going out he began to mix and produce tapes for his friends and to keep himself in the epic centre of electronic sounds each weekend he started to work in clubs for the love of music and saving some money .
Busy managing clubs and events for 10 years now his ambition for perfection soon led to the turntables during closing hours and special parties witch ultimately turned out to weekly sets in Versuz , 20 ft below basement parties , Tomorrowland 2004 – 2009 and recently Sensation White Belgium in 2009 .
Describing his style is quite tricky as he only aims for the crowd to move and enjoy themselves on the dance floor without getting cheesy on the decks . His sets are like a box of chocolates you never know what your gonna get . Naturally his record collection contains soul full house , groove , electro , techno and minimal sounds blended with a fling of classy acapella ‘s.

Producing the First Floor Finest club compilations is also a priority for Barry , along with Dave Lambert and Tom Leclercq these mixed cd ’s dived regularly into the Belgian top 5 compilation charts and the latest compiled nr 14 edition with an extra Wally Lopez Mix promises to score even better ( www.versuz.be/shop)
Future plans also include a new label called ‘ Versuz Essentials ‘ and building a new club in 2010 , his first single You Versuz Me will be released later this year .

The boys have also been remixing for some heavy duty names including Laidback Luke, Gregor Salto, Ministry Recordings and Strictly Rhythm. Their own imprint, Floorplay Music continues to sign strong projects too, notably a smash from ATFC & David Penn – there’s no doubt that Prok & Fitch is becoming the byword for superior skills in quality house music.

Floorplay Music is much more than a record label though – it’s a way of life and with formidable names like ATFC & David Penn already involved, there’s no doubt that Floorplay is becoming the byword for superior tracks in quality house music.

Floorplay parties have quickly become stuff of late night legend. What started off as a small label showcase night has turned into regular roadblocks and consistant sell outs in Brighton, Dubai and London. The Guardian, Mixmag, IDJ and DJ magazine have all proclaimed Floorplay to be the ‘best night in the South’ and it’s easy to see why – guests have included Dirty Vegas, Chris Lake, Mark Knight… the list just goes on.

Prok & Fitch have been rinsing their passports this year too – spinning at Dubai superclub Sanctuary, rocking the main stage of the Sneakerz festival in Antwerp and the Free Your Mind festival in Holland, as well as Ibiza, Australia and Brazil.

Closer to home, the boys have also fulfilled one of their lifetime ambitions: to spin in the Wild Fruit arena at Brighton’s infamous Pride festival, which attracts over a quarter of a million revellers over one weekend.

With massive plans afoot for Prok & Fitch and Floorplay over the coming months – it’d be fair to say they’re still the ‘ones to watch’ in 2010 and beyond…..

Multi-talented Nuno Dos Santos stands for high quality music, crossing boundaries between various genres and melting them into one journey. For three years now he is resident dj for Full Spectrum, a monthly techno club night in Utrecht with the tag ‘everything goes’. Furthermore he’s been a regular guest at all the big dance festivals in Holland, from Lowlands to Mysteryland, from Extrema Festival to Awakenings. Most important of all, Nuno and Bäumel are hosting their own monthly 360 party’s club at TROUW in Amsterdam. In the recent past Apparat, Modeselektor and Akufen found their way to the former newspaper printing press room. Born in Germany and currently living in Amsterdam, Patrice Bäumel is a dj/producer who has been an active member of the electronic dance music scene for many years. He is an artist who devotes all of his energy to the dancefloor, with his dynamic sets as well as his trademark climaxing productions. Dance-Tunes Radio and Dance4Life are proud to present a great DJ set by Bob Sinclar!

In 2007, after the success of the albums “WESTERN DREAM” and “SOUNDZ OF FREEDOM” – the latter a compilation/DJ mix stuffed full of unreleased tracks – BOB SINCLAR decided to say goodbye to the Paris rat race and spend a year in Los Angeles to find the right inspiration for a new record. Once there, he came upon some folk-rock that he hadn’t heard before (America, Boz Scaggs, John Fogerty, Michael McDonald, Dan Fogelberg). The events leading up to Born In 69 (his new album, out 11th May) had been set in motion.

After having prepared a dozen instrumental tracks between September 2007 and March 2008, Bob then left for Jamaica, where – despite a really nasty fever that hit him just when he arrived in Kingston – he recorded a number of singers such as Christopher Martin, Tony Rebel and Queen Ifrica. Back in LA, a few demos were already finished: good vibes, great vocals, some of them really great actually, but still nothing to put shivers down you back like “Love Generation” or “World Hold On”, still not quite the unremitting beat of “Rock this Party” or “Sound of Freedom”. Only once he had returned to Paris to record some music with his trusty team – especially sound engineer and co-producer Cutee B – was Bob Sinclar finally able to sort out the pieces of the puzzle.
“At that point, I went back to the tracks I’d recorded in LA and polished them up. Then I called Steve Edwards who came to Paris in October, took a sample from Richie Havens “We Are Everything“ (a sort of psychedelic song with a Beatles-style sitar) and another from a track by Illusion released in 1969. Using a title with a tinge of flower power, “Peace Song”, the concept of the album started coming together.”
Another crazy idea: making a daring blend of “Je ne t’aime plus” by Manu Chao and the voice of Shabba Ranks on a track called “Love You No More”. Manu Chao accepted being sampled and Shabba Ranks came (on time for once!) to the studio that Bob had rented at the end of 2008. Suffice to say, two miracles had come together.

Also in New York, the song that was soon to be chosen as the first single from Born In 69 was recorded: the legendary Sugarhill Gang – who released the legendary old school hit “Rappers Delight” in 1979 – accepted the offer of a collaboration with Bob Sinclar.
With a baseline concocted by Cutee B, MCs Wonder Mike and Master Gee rapped out in their unique trademark styles, accompanied by a killer hook inspired by a kid’s choir from a Kid Creole song!
And thus “LaLa Song” was in the can: a hybrid rap/dancefloor killer where new style meets old school. “Personally, I say ‘Bob Sinclar and Sugarhill Gang, they’re amazing!’ (laughs) I don’t know why, but right from the beginning I knew it would be great, and the day we recorded, Wonder Mike and Master Gee told me that they’ just come from CNN where they’d been invited for the 30 year anniversary of “Rappers’ Delight“! After a year of trying to make it come together, something magical had happened.”

And you can definitely feel it on this first single. A real party track, both vintage and modern, funky and pop. “I got the concept of Born In 69 by brainstorming around the theme of peace and love and flower power. My birthday is 10th May, and the album comes out on 11th May. It’s a great birthday present,” concludes DJ/producer Bob Sinclar.
With this decidedly fun and eclectic album just begging to be danced to, Bob Sinclar isn’t just celebrating his birthday, he’s sending his groove around the world to brighten up some dismal times.
